Don’t Pass on Learning the Rules of Craps
Tuesday, July 14th, 2009Craps is a very popular American gambling game. When playing craps, you can stand at either end of the craps table. The first person to throw is given the dice and throws the “Come Out” roll. The “Come Out” roll is the first roll of the start of a new game. Each player starts with a come out roll and plays till they don’t throw a winning bet.
The way you win in craps depends on what you bet. The two easiest bets are the Pass bet and the Don’t Pass bets. With the Pas bet, you throw the dice and if you roll a 7 or 11, you win. If you roll a 2, 3, or 12, you will lose. The Don’t Pass bet is the opposite. If you roll a 7 or 11, you will lose but if you roll a 2, 3, or 12, you win the bet. It is fun to throw the dice but if you don’t want to throw the dice, you can bet on other players.
The words craps is used when a player throws a 2, 3, or 12. There are other rules for craps. One rule is you are to handle the dice with only one hand. Another rule is that the dice has to hit the wall on the opposite side of the table when thrown.
